Effective Date: 01.01.2025

By booking a move with NewRay Moving LLC, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Booking and Payment
— A 10% deposit is required at the time of booking, payable by credit or debit card.
— Final payment is due upon delivery and before unloading, payable by card or cash.
— A 6% processing fee is applied to all credit/debit card payments made after booking.
— Checks are not accepted.

2. Cancellation Policy
— Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled move to avoid forfeiture of deposit.

3. Liability
— Carrier provides limited liability coverage at $0.60 per pound up to $75 per article.
— Full-coverage insurance may be purchased from a third-party provider.
— Carrier is not liable for damage to items packed by the customer, fragile items (glass, china, electronics), or pressed wood furniture.

4. Claims
— All claims must be made in writing within 3 days of delivery.
— Claims must include proof of ownership, value, and photos of the damaged items.
— All outstanding balances must be paid before a claim is processed.

5. Materials and Labor Charges
— Final cost is based on actual time worked, number of movers/trucks, and materials used.
— A detailed materials price list is provided prior to service.

6. Delays and Delivery Windows
— Pickup and delivery times are not guaranteed unless explicitly paid for as an add-on service.

7. Legal Jurisdiction
— Any disputes must be resolved in Fairfax County, Virginia and governed by U.S. Federal law.

8. Carrier’s Right to Lien
— Carrier retains a lien on all goods for unpaid charges, including storage, legal fees, or arbitration costs.

9. Arbitration
— In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to binding arbitration as outlined in the Bill of Lading.

10. Use of Agents
— NewRay Moving may use independent contractors or third-party carriers for service execution.
